1. Making Strong Arguments
Kalimatmu harus punya “power”! Hindari cuma bilang “I think”, ganti dengan ekspresi yang lebih kuat:
- “There is strong evidence that…”
- “It’s widely accepted that…”
- “Research clearly shows that…”
- “From a logical standpoint, …”
- “It’s undeniable that…”
Example:
“It’s undeniable that social media has both empowered and distracted the younger generation.”
2. Emphasizing a Point
Kalimat penekanan bikin argumenmu terdengar tegas dan terstruktur.
- “What I’m trying to say is…”
- “The key point here is…”
- “It’s important to highlight that…”
- “Let me stress that…”
Example:
“The key point here is that language learning requires consistency, not just talent.”
3. Supporting Your Ideas with Examples
Argumen tanpa bukti itu lemah. Gunakan ekspresi pendukung seperti:
- “For instance…”
- “To illustrate my point…”
- “A good example of this is…”
- “This can be seen when…”
Example:
“To illustrate my point, let’s look at how Finland’s education system focuses on student well-being.”
4. Contrasting and Refuting Ideas
Kalau kamu mau menolak atau menentang pendapat orang lain secara sopan dan elegan, ini ekspresinya:
- “While that’s a valid point, I believe…”
- “That might be true, but we should also consider…”
- “I understand your perspective, however…”
- “With all due respect, I disagree because…”
Example:
“With all due respect, I disagree because this policy doesn’t address the root of the problem.”
5. Rephrasing or Clarifying Your Point
Kalau pendengar belum paham, jangan bingung — kamu bisa rephrase idemu dengan cara berikut:
- “In other words…”
- “Let me put it another way…”
- “What I mean is…”
- “Simply put…”
Example:
“Simply put, without motivation, even the best method won’t work.”
6. Concluding Your Argument
Akhiri argumen dengan kesimpulan yang kuat biar kesannya profesional.
- “In conclusion, it’s clear that…”
- “To sum up, we can see that…”
- “Ultimately, this proves that…”
- “Therefore, it’s essential to…”
Example:
“To sum up, online learning can only be effective when combined with strong self-discipline.”

Gunakan connectors biar ide-ide kamu lebih mengalir:
